AI and the Customer Service Experience

Hello to all. It’s been a long while since I have written about a customer service experience. My inspiration to write has been clouded these last few months. I am working to be more intentional in sharing insights about the customer service experience.

With that, let’s jump in.

As I look to see how technology is moving as it relates to AI. I began to think about how customer service would be impacted by this. I am sure you have seen examples, with robots that can cook, the Meta verse, still photos that can come to life, ChatGPT, and much more. Here’s a clip from the movie, A Space Odyssey.

Using AI in customer service can be a tremendous help when interacting with the customer. It can also allow the support team to focus more on challenging customer concerns.

AI can have some matters that bring about a concern as it relates to data, privacy and trust. These concerns have to be addressed in an ethical manner, so that all can feel comfortable when AI is part of the process.

In my infographic I share some thoughts about what helpful AI could do and what harmful AI could do.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. If you have found the information helpful or relevant to your customer service journey, please share.
